Biography of owner: 1984 Graduate of Jules Mastbaum Vocational Technical School

Philadelphia pa. Joined the laborers union September 1984. Learned how to

Jackhammer concrete, rake, roll, and seal hot black top. Learned how to set 18" steel

Curb forms. Finished concrete curb, and sidewalks. I learned how to finish curbs,

Pavements, while being a laborer, I was multi tasking, but not getting the union

Finisher’s rate.

That’s how I learned I just jumped right in. leaned how to drive a backhoe to and

From the jobsite, and had the tasks of driving around, and fueling all the machines.

Then getting back to hard laborer.

Worked as a union laborer until 1990 the recession was a bummer. Started working

For a waterproofing company as a laborer, learned how to jackhammer a trench,

Pick, and shovel dirt out of trench. Carry buckets up the steps, and then dump onto

Truck. Thee hardest job I ever had, including the union.

Learned how to install mud & silt filter into the trench. Install PVC perforated PVC on

Top of the mud & silt filter. Surround PVC pipe with 3/4 crushed stone, which is used

For drainage.

Install sump pit, with lid, and zoellar sump pump, with discharge line. Drilling weep

Holes in cinder block. The weep holes entrap the water in the hollow core block.

Then install drain tile up against the weep holes, which the water runs through the

Drain tile, and then into the perforated PVC pipe. Recement the trench with a

Portland cement, level to the existing floor.

Worked for many of the big waterproofing companies for 6 years. Went from laborer,

To foreman running crews.

Started my own business in 1996. Saved money, and got a lot of help from my father. if it wasn't for him i would not be in business today. my father has passed away 1998, and i wish he could see me now. i know he is looking down on me. my Guardian angel. i miss him. just wanted to say pop i love you.  acquired a 1966 Dump truck and tools. And never looked back.

I am on every job site, and never use sub contractors, or high-pitched salesman.

Most companies today use subcontractors, and high-pitched salesman. The sales

Man scares you about mold, and tries to pressure you into the sale immediately

Without thinking it over, or getting another estimate.
